This past Saturday, Clarksdale Revitalization Inc (CRI), alongside CPU, sponsored a Downtown Christmas Market and Tree Lighting event at the park on Yazoo Avenue. There were craft and farmer’s market vendors all afternoon, and the event ended in the lighting of the tree and some community caroling. Mark Johnson, General Manager of CPU, plugged the lights in and CPU led the first bit of caroling.
I would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to the following individuals for helping to make our caroling debut a success this past Saturday:
Katorra Hawkins, Judy Snyder, Doris Marbley, Liz Haynes, Shelia Profit, Angel Furniss, Erica Allen, Chris Campos, Shannon Bailey, Patricia Chapman, Lontreal Stevenson, Teena Rowe, Gable Johnson, Kelvin Stacker, and Bernice Jones.
Everything went smoothly and it wouldn’t have been possible without YOU. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and I have heard many great things from family, friends, etc. This event was a great opportunity for us to become more visible in the community that we serve and to socialize and bond outside of the workplace. I hope I speak for everyone in saying that I look forward to future events that will allow us to represent CPU, and do our part in Building A Greater Clarksdale.
