At its regular meeting on Tuesday, the Clarksdale Public Utilities Commission had a discussion about payment options and avenues available to customers of the utility. Steve Reed, CFO, suggested that the utility continue to find ways to better serve customers, including off-site bill payment and off-hours bill payment. Currently, options for payment after hours include the night deposit box and the kiosk downtown. However, it was noted that some customers feel more comfortable being able to converse with someone about their bill and hand their payment over to a person. There are limitations on who is able to access customer accounts, so it is likely that off-site payment options would only include the ability to receive payments from customers. Any discussion about usage or billing would still take place during business hours in the customer service department at the Administration Building. The Commission is considering the best course of action to serve CPU’s customers. We will keep you updated if we are able to offer more payment sites and hours for payment.
For your convenience, the kiosk is available for payment 24 hours a day. It is located in the drive-thru at the Administration Building on Third Street. Our online payment portal is also available 24 hours a day from any internet-connected device. If you need assistance with either of these options, please let us know. These systems are in place to better serve you, our customers. Please note that other payment services offer to receive and deliver payment to Clarksdale Public Utilities. The only payment services that we support and endorse are those offered by our office. You can find the online payment portal at http://cdpu.net/customer-portal-landing/.
If you have any ideas on how we can better serve you, don’t hesitate to suggest those to us.
